Internationale stagiairs bij IBBY
Elk najaar biedt IBBY een of twee stageplaatsen voor internationale uitwisselingsstudenten van de Erasmus Mundus Master Children's Literature, Media and Cultural Entrepreneurship aan Tilburg University. Dit najaar zijn dit Kallida uit Griekenland en Naim uit Turkije. We zijn ontzettend blij met hun hulp! Onze projectleider Simone Arts is verantwoordelijk voor de begeleiding van de stagiairs.
Kallida en Naim gaan o.a. posts verzorgen op de Instagram van IBBY-Nederland, we leren de Griekse en Turkse IBBY-secties beter kennen door hen en ze zullen ons ondersteunen tijdens de Boek&groetdag. Kallida gaat daarnaast de boekenpakketten verzorgen voor de Griekse winnaars van de illustratiewedstrijd van International Children's Book Day. Ook gaat ze meehelpen met het catalogiseren van een collectie Griekse boeken die IBBY-Griekenland gedoneerd heeft aan de OBA. Naim zal zich bezighouden met het maken van een overzicht van Turkse boeken voor verschillende leeftijden en hij zal de Turkse vertaling van Een boek voor jou van correcties voorzien.

Hi everyone!
My name is Kallida Zachopoulou and I’m thrilled to be joining IBBY Netherlands as an intern as part of my Master’s in Children’s Literature, Media, and Cultural Entrepreneurship, a joint programme between the University of Glasgow, Aarhus University, and Tilburg University.
A Greek born and raised philomath (Greek-rooted word!) and a published author, I can’t wait to contribute my experience in the field while collaborating with IBBY Netherlands and the amazing people that run this initiative. Our shared goal: connecting children all over the world with stories in which they can recognize themselves.
I’m also delighted to act as a bridge between Greek IBBY and IBBY Netherlands by introducing remarkable Greek children's books to a Dutch audience and vice versa!
My research interests include mental health representations in children’s books and how factors like socioeconomic status and institutions shape a child protagonist’s agency.

Hello everyone!
My name is Naim EFE, and I join you as the newest intern at IBBY-Netherlands. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching, and I am currently a full-scholarship Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s student majoring in Children’s Literature, Media and Cultural Entrepreneurship. This program has allowed me to study at three universities across different countries, where I have experienced various teaching and research styles.
After an inspiring first semester in Glasgow, I continued my studies at Aarhus University in Denmark. Currently, I am diving into my third semester, while also studying at Tilburg University and my internship at the IBBY Netherlands.
As an intern at IBBY, I will prepare reports on literacy and reading-promotion events in my home country, Türkiye, offer book recommendations, and edit the Turkish edition of Een Boek Voor Jou. I am thrilled to share my experiences and discoveries with you all!
